Livelihood Program
Sen. Angara visits one of the beneficiaries of the livelihood program.

In order to curb the unemployment problem in marginalized provinces throughout the country, there is a need to initiate livelihood training programs that will provide opportunities for local communities and their residents to engage in various economic activities that will secure and augment their family income.

A series of livelihood programs are conducted in targeted areas throughout he country, including Aurora Province, based on the locality's needs as well as the available resources and skills of the local residents.

The READ Foundation, Inc. held livelihood training programs in San Luis, Ma. Aurora, Baler, Dingalan, Dinalungan, Casiguran, Dilasag and Dipaculao in Aurora Province. These include fish and meat processing, fish handling, herbal medicine preparation, wood carving, farm machinery operation and goat raising.
