Angara supports Senate inquiry on
NBN and Cyber Education project
Senator Edgardo J. Angara today said he supports a senate inquiry on the proposed National Broadband Network and the cyber education project to get into the bottom of the two controversial projects.
He also said he will inhibit himself from the inquiry because his former law office, ACCRA , has been hired to give legal advice to the ZTE, the China-based proponent of the broadband project.
Angara said that he has long resigned from ACCRA but still he will inhibit from the inquiry as a matter of "delicadeza."
Angara said that he finds the two projects not worthwhile pursuing . He clearly stated this while questioning Finance Secretary Margarito Tevez on the two projects in the senate.
